Trend #011 - How you can get paid to learn about GPT

Spent too much time messing with GPT? Here's how to recoup your time investment.

Hey,

Welcome to the new subscribers to What The Hype.

Lots of things going on in my world so I will keep it short. Today, we are going to break down how you can make money learning how to use GPT.

What you will learn:

  • What's The Reverse Tuition Fee

  • Why we should steal the software engineer's learning playbook

  • Why you should bookmark this date - 14th June 2023 to cash in on your projects

πŸ“£ Community Shout Outs

Shlomo is an advisor at No Code Exits. If you are interested in buying startup projects, you're going to want to check out his newsletter - Remote Revenues where he talks about easy wins & what to avoid when acquiring digital projects.

Max Haining - It's finally time to give Max a shout-out. He runs the OG #100daysofnocode and his next No-code bootcamp is starting 1 May! The bootcamp (which I also did) has many raving fans. Check it out!

πŸ’Œ Psst, to get featured like these guys?

Share this newsletter on Twitter, your newsletter (or anywhere!) and send me a screenshot or a link. I will link to you in the next issue! And if you don't know what to say, just write about a cool idea you found down below.

Let's get back to today's topic πŸ‘‡

❌Don't be just a ChatGPT consumer

The GPT community is thriving, and it's not just about creating fun text generators anymore. There's a growing interest in using Generative AI tools like GPT and MidJourney to build useful and profitable projects. But let's be honest, learning about these tools can be a real time sink. (Who's been down this rabbit hole? πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ)

🧐 Today, we will look at how can you make the most of your learning experience and turn it into a money-making opportunity

πŸ”Ž The software engineer's playbook

Here's an idea: steal a playbook from software engineers. If you are an indie hacker, you already know the drill. If not, here's the mantra:

The best way to learn a new tool is to build something. You don't learn to code reading a book about coding. Or even watching YouTube tutorials. You learn by taking on a small project and building.

You know what's even better? Monetizing our learning.

πŸ’°The reverse tuition fee

Want to learn about MidJourney? Create an Etsy store and sell your designs. Want to learn about GPT? Create a digital product, a GPT-powered website or a Chrome extension.

Then, put it up for sale and cash in on your learning. (That's why I am calling it the reverse tuition fee)

Sure, you might fall in love with your idea along the way and want to continue building it. Or you might be ready to hand it over to someone else and move on to a more challenging project.

πŸ“Ž My 2nd #hustleGPT project

Some of you will remember that, I sold my first project - Savage Cards that GPT and I built together last month. It was an amazing learning experience, where I got to create an interactive site using Glide (my current favourite tool) and incorporate Google App Script codes to make the site intelligent.

Now, I'm planning my next build, targeting a larger sale value ($5,000).

I call this The Startup Paperclip Challenge - a risk-adjusted approach to entrepreneurship where we build and sell increasingly bigger startups as our confidence (and bank balances) grow.

And this time, I will be putting the project up for sale on 14th June at the hustleGPTsale - a collaboration project between myself, Harold and Katt from No Code Exits Club.

πŸ”₯ How to get involved

1) I just want to learn πŸ‘©β€πŸ«

If you're a complete beginner and want a structured learning experience focusing on how to build a project to sell, then I recommend joining the No Code MVP Bootcamp starting 1 May 2023. It's a great way to get started and learn the basics. (If you join with this link, I will send you a bonus clip to maximise ROI on your course)

2) I want to make my first $500 selling my hustleGPT projectπŸ’°

If you already have an idea for a project but just haven't had the push to do it, then join me in my challenge to sell our projects on the 14th June 2023 at the HustleGPTsale event.

Don't have an idea? In our next issue, we will look at how to generate unlimited ideas.

Until the next one,

Hazel
